I love making these. I made a 3 tiered one for my son's teacher's birthday and she absolutely loved it. The best thing was that it cost me about $3 to make!
All you will need is:
E6000 epoxy glue (or equivalent) I know this stuff works really well on these
Plates, bowls (thrift stores have hundreds of them!)
Candlesticks, glasses, or any other base you can find (Be creative, make sure that this piece has a smooth, flat top surface)
1. Make sure that all pieces are clean and dry. Put newspaper or cardboard on your work space. You do not want to get E6000 on your counter or table.
2. Apply glue to the top of the candlestick. Line up the top of the candlestick with the middle of the bottom of the plate. Let dry completely before trying to move the finished piece. If you are gluing multiple pieces, start with 2 pieces and let them dry before trying to stack them, trust me!
Don't you want one now? They are great for gifts!

ReplyDeleteYou have such a creative streak! I love your collage.
ReplyDeleteI don't think the way you do.
When I look at your collage it is very artful and comes together with meaning... but alone all those pieces would be junk headed for the trash!
I wonder if I could train myself to be creative like that... I have envy..can you tell? LOL
cute collage- great talent.
